Welcome to the Nephilim life! FAQ
I bet you're wondering how you found yourself here! Well, let's take this rig back a couple years and examine what I was doing. The name's Sijo, and if you don't know me, then now you do. I'm a long time gamer with a troublesome past. From a small town riddled with racism, and a fear of the unknown, as a mixed race gamer, I was the scum of my surroundings. Naturally, I reclused and honed my gaming skills, it was a good distraction from the turmoil that tried to suck the light from my life every day. Of course, being hated the people I called my friends, and had been raised to create bonds with, I made a vow: I will never judge a person based on factors that they cannot control. I'm a big believer in the law of equivelant exchange. I believe all the hate that they have given to me can be used as my willpower, and wanted to find like-minded gamers who never give up and never spread hate! Why would you name the forum "Nephilim"?
How was Nephilim Founded?
Nephilim is the child of two clans I was spearheading. The first was a LoL Ranked team, named Hanyou. Hanyou meaning "Half Demon" in japanese pop culture. The second clan being Enthroned. A WoW vanity guild that hunted mounts. Hmm, what is a blessed half demon?? A Nephilim. Demons are just fallen angels.
What do we stand for?
Nephilim is out to be a relaxed gaming community that likes to play competitively. All types of players are welcome! We don't discriminate against others, but we will judge you based upon how you treat us. To us, all others are perfect, until they treat us with malice. We pride ourselves on being thick-skinned, and using that underused mute button. We takes one of our members flaming as an ultimate embarrassment. If you lower yourself to the level of others that use the internet to create drama, you will be punished in the community.
What do you need to be successful in our community?
To be a successful member of Nephilim, you should be: Talented in your hobby, a level headed person who is quick to act and doesn't ramble over pointless things, thick-skinned, and a fun-loving person. Our whole gaming community is professional acting. We have numerous places for you to have your fun/troll, but when we are displaying our talents to the world, you should be as grown up as you can seem.
Goals for Nephilim?
Some of my goals for the community are:- Reach 500 members
- Have Servers for various games
- Have a dedicated GFX and Editing Team.
- Have a dedicated Tech Team.
- Just have fun.
- Be a model in the gaming community.
